Carroll Shelby, ehemaliger Rennfahrer aus Texas, wollte Anfang der 1960er-Jahre ein Auto bauen, das die europ\u00e4ische Leichtbaukunst mit amerikanischer Motorpower vereint. Sein Ziel war klar: <strong>ein kompromissloser Sportwagen<\/strong>, der Ferrari und Co. das F\u00fcrchten lehrt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shelby fand den perfekten Partner: <strong>AC Cars<\/strong> aus England. Deren Roadster AC Ace bot ein leichtes, agiles Chassis \u2013 ideal f\u00fcr Shelbys Plan. Was fehlte, war ein Motor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Die Geburt der Cobra<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shelby \u00fcberzeugte <strong>Ford<\/strong>, ihm den neuen <strong>V8-Motor<\/strong> zur Verf\u00fcgung zu stellen. Damit begann 1962 die Geschichte der Cobra:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leichtes britisches Chassis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kraftvoller amerikanischer V8<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimales Gewicht<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximale Leistung<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Ergebnis war ein Auto, das die Sportwagenwelt schockierte.
